Scarecrow Cookies
Prep Time: 25 minutes. Start to Finish: 35 minutes. Serves 5
Ingredients:
¼ cup vanilla frosting
10 crème-filled vanilla sandwich cookies
10 biscuits bite-size shredded whole-wheat cereal, crushed
1 tablespoon sugar
10 gum drops
10 pieces candy corn
Black decorating gel
Directions:
Spread 1 slightly rounded teaspoon frosting on each sandwich cookie
Insert crushed cereal into frosting on 3 sides of each cookie for hair
Sprinkle work surface with sugar
Place 1 gum drop on its side on sugar, flatten with rolling pin into 1/8 inch thick triangle
Fold up one edge to form hat brim, place on cookie
Repeat with remaining gum drops
Place 1 piece of candy corn on cookie for nose
Use black decorating gel to draw eyes, mouth and hat band
